Earthenware bowl & pitcher, blue morning glory & butterfly handpainted, painted blue rim, unmarked. Note indicates bowl was painted by Ida Ponder, but pitcher is marked "E.S. Isaacs."
Provenance
Handwritten note found inside pitcher : " This plate has been donated to this Society by Frances Scott, Bridgeville, daughter of the late Captain and Mrs. Charles A. Burrous of Milton. This plate was handpainted by Ida Ponder, wife of Governor James Ponder. Mrs. Ponder was one of the first Episcopalians in Milton."
