Contributing Your Memories

To participate in the Project, you must be willing to donate the object to the Museum’s collection and able to spend about an hour with our radio journalist, who will record your memories. These recordings will be edited into short sound tracks, which museum visitors can listen to as they look at the item you’ve donated.

Examples of Artifacts Sought:

  1. items whose monetary value are less significant than the stories they evoke
  2. commercial items which are no longer used, especially tools – domestic items, fishing, hunting, agricultural
  3. local craft and homemade items, in any media: wood, metal, fabric. Photographs, drawings, printed and written materials; culinary items that are preserved or shelf-stable; talismans and sacred objects.
  4. natural items: plant, animal, acquatic, whose decay has been stabilized

If you have an object that you’d like to contribute to our Show & Tell Project, please contact us via email or phone…we’d love to hear from you!
