Description
Black leotard prototype produced at Kellwood Company Hosiery Mill in the early 1960s in Milton. Machinist Richard C. Roessler, Sr. helped design the machine configurations that manufactured this product. Dick Roessler worked for Kellwood Company from 1950 until the mill closed in 1965. He and his family moved to North Carolina ehere he continued work as a machinist for the Siler City Manufacturing Company. During the time the Kellwood Company operated in Milton, it produced nylon products, from seamed hosiery to seamless hosiery, the factory modified production to meet the changing times.
