The sonnets of John Milton -- published in 1933 by D. Appleton and Company New York..221 total pages. Inside contains two index cards the first one says : This book was given by Dr. Daniel Coit Gilman organizer and first president of the John Hopkins University in Baltimore, to his daughter Alice, later Mrs. Everetty P Wheeler of New York City and Balitmore...The inscription in is Dr. Gilman's writing. The second index card says : To Ruth Post for the Milton Historical Society.
