The Milton Historical Society (MHS) is pleased to feature a presentation by Ed Okonowicz titled "Disappearing Delmarva." A freelance writer who has taught courses in folklore, storytelling, talk radio, and feature writing, Okonowicz writes for Stackpole Books, a Pennsylvania publisher, and presents programs on a wide range of topics. The “Lunch and Learn” event will take place from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Lydia B. Cannon Museum, 210 Union Street in Milton.
 
"Disappearing Delmarva: Portraits of the Peninsula People", written by Ed and Kathleen Okonowicz, told through the words of working folks interviewed for the book, it explains the dramatic changes that progress has caused in the region. 
 
Lunch, provided by Capriotti's and offers both meat and vegetarian options, is included and will be served immediately following the 45-minute program. The cost for the event is $35.00 p.p., includes lunch, salad, dessert, and soft drink. Wine will be available for purchase, and proceeds from the event help support MHS programs. Free parking is available.
